Overview:
This 5-day course is designed to guide kids through the entire process of game development, from basic concepts to creating their own game by the end of the week.
Each day focuses on a specific area of game development, allowing students to build essential skills while having fun.
The course is aimed at kids who are interested in technology and game development, whether they are beginners or have some programming experience.
Introduce students to the world of game development, the tools they'll be using throughout the week, and the basic principles of game design.
Dive into creating 2D games, including the basics of sprite creation and 2D game mechanics.
Introduce students to 3D modeling, the foundation of 3D game environments and characters.
Teach students how to integrate 3D models and assets into a game environment, and learn the basics of programming for game mechanics.
Bring everything together by allowing students to work on their own games, using the skills and tools learned throughout the week.
Kids these days are very familiar with technology, in particular playing games like Fortnite. We aim to harness this passion and direct it towards building a viable career in technology. We say to kids: instead of playing Fortnite all day, come to us and make your own version of Fortnite!
Kids Game Dev is offering a school holiday program for kids about the process of making video games. Whether they are completely new, or have done some form of programming before, they will have the opportunity to learn bleeding edge skills.
This is a five day course that can be attend individually, but for maximum benefit, we’d recommend attending the entire week.
